Dear Derica,

Thanks so much for this info! I am working on building up my theoretical knowledge around archiving then moving into exploring specific archives and Jennifer Bajorek looks like an amazing starting place for the second leg of this research! I am curious about about how the act of archiving (archival centers, monuments, and the building of memorial sites) intersects with the post-colonial nation building project … especially in places like South Africa where I lived and was constantly disoriented with the multiplicity of monuments and “memory-making” projects. Also curious about who creates, maintains and has access to these archives.
